Transportation

The Annex is a great neighbourhood for environmentally friendly transportation options. The Annex is very well-suited for those who travel by foot; running daily errands is very convenient, and many businesses are especially close by. Riding a bicycle is very adopted in this area because bike-share stations are never more than a short distance away. The Annex is an extremely pleasant part of Toronto for moving around by public transit due to many nearby rapid transit stations on the Line 1 (Yonge-University) and Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth), and approximately 10 nearby bus lines. However, cars are a sometimes poor transportation option in The Annex since most real estate listings are a rather long drive from the closest highway, and the street infrastructure is not very conducive to driving.

Families will welcome that wherever their home is situated in this area, daycares and schools are close by. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools. With respect to food, house buyers in this part of Toronto will welcome that a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a reasonably short walk away.
