Playter Estates is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area offers homeowners several alternative means of transportation. Thanks to 2 rapid transit stations (Broadview Station - Westbound Platform and Broadview Station - Eastbound Platform) with access to the Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth), and a few nearby bus lines, this area benefits from excellent transit infrastructure. Getting around on foot is also particularly feasible for property owners in Playter Estates; all common errands can be run without needing a car, and plenty of businesses are rather close by. This neighbourhood will attract physically active home buyers as it is suitable for biking. For instance, Playter Estates features fairly good cycling infrastructure, and a bike share station can generally be found in close proximity.

Services

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a very short trip away in this neighbourhood. Furthermore, there is typically a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. Playter Estates is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the ambience of this part of Toronto. Playter Estates is quiet, as the streets are generally peaceful, however some areas can be quite loud, especially around the railway line or Don Valley Parkway. The greenery in this area is prominent as the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is fairly good. There are a few green spaces close by for residents to visit, including Lower Don Parklands, and they are especially well-situated, making it very easy to access them from the majority of locations in this part of the city. Lastly, it is easy to find energetic areas in this neighbourhood. Despite the fact that relatively few entertainment venues can be found nearby, there are often lots of people around, and with its a few bars, there are options for nighttime activities. Danforth Avenue in particular offers a vast selection of places to go out at night.
