Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Eatonville is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

Eatonville provides property owners with several alternative means of transportation. The public transit system in this part of the city is convenient. For instance, there is Dundas St / Billingham Rd with access to the Meadowvale Express. The neighbourhood is linked by about 20 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close by. Eatonville will also appeal to home buyers who value being able to walk to everything because it is geared to pedestrians; meeting day-to-day needs is easy without a car, and many businesses are reasonably close by. Cycling is easy in this area because there are a limited number of slopes to challenge cyclists.

Services

Families will appreciate the proximity to daycares and schools, which are within a short distance from most, if not all, houses for sale in this area. At the elementary level, both public and private schools can be found. As far as eating is concerned, it is very often an option for house buyers in this area to buy their groceries without the use of a car. Residents can enjoy approximately 20 restaurants and coffee shops as well.

Character

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Eatonville. More specifically, most locations in the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to parks, such as Etobicoke Hydro Green Space, since there are about 10 of them close by for residents to unwind in. In addition, residents will find that numerous tree-lined streets are present. Lastly, since there are few pedestrians, this part of the city is relatively quiet; however there can be higher levels of noise for those who are around Highway 427.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing roughly half of buildings in Eatonville, whereas the rest are mainly large apartment buildings. This part of the city is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. About 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 30% are renters. Around one third of homes in this part of the city were constructed pre-1960, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 2000s.
