Transportation

The car is very often the favoured method to navigate this part of the city. It is very easy to access a place to park. Although there are a limited number of hills, and some pleasant sectors for bicycling exist, moving around by bicycle is challenging in this neighbourhood because there are very few bike lanes. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of Ottawa are located in areas that are also not very convenient for those who travel by foot since almost no common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

There are only a very small number of primary schools in Russel - Edwards and consequently they can be a very long walk away. Likewise, this part of Ottawa does not have any high schools. In terms of food, it is very rarely practical for house buyers in this part of the city to do their grocery shopping by walking.

Character

Russel - Edwards is very good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case near Highway 417.
