Metcalfe is a very convenient part of Ottawa for moving around by car. Parking is easy. In contrast, Metcalfe is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are typically nearby. It is difficult for pedestrians to navigate this area because very few common errands can be run on foot. This neighbourhood is also not very conducive to bicycling since the topography is not particularly flat, and the cycling network is not very well-developed.
