The neighbourhood of Metcalfe is part of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, which is situated in the Ottawa - Gatineau metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is very car friendly. Parking is generally easy. On the other hand, Metcalfe is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. A majority of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are not very conducive to those who like to travel on foot since running common errands is inconvenient without a car. It is also occasionally challenging to commute by bicycle in Metcalfe because there are few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of slopes.
