This area is also reasonably conducive to walking; running daily errands is convenient on foot, and numerous businesses are quite nearby. Cycling is quite popular in Carlington as there are a good number of bike lanes.

The nearest supermarket in this part of the city is usually only a short walk away. Furthermore, Carlington is a good place in which to eat out, for example along Merivale Road, and property owners can enjoy a few cafes as well.
