Situated within the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Lakeview is a neighbourhood in Mississauga, Ontario.

Transportation

Commuting by bicycle is convenient in Lakeview. Walking is also reasonably practical for house buyers in this part of Mississauga; many daily needs can be carried out without a car. Public transit riders may have limited options in this area due to the infrequent service. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and it is very easy to find a nearby bus stop from most properties. In contrast, this neighbourhood is particularly car friendly. Nearby highways, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, are easy to reach from anywhere in Lakeview, and it is very convenient to park.

Services

Families will welcome that no matter where their home is situated in this area, daycares and schools are nearby. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. When it comes to eating, home buyers in this part of the city will be pleased to learn that a grocery store is always only a short trip away. There are also about 20 restaurants and cafes in Lakeview.

Character

The character of Lakeview is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. There are around 40 public green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in, such as Not Yet Named (P-358) *(South of Lakeshore Rd E and Dixie Rd) and Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary (9-12) (Ps), and they are especially well-spread out, making them easy to get to. This part of Mississauga is reasonably quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - however some areas can be quite loud, especially closer to Queen Elizabeth Way or the railway line.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing many buildings in Lakeview, while large apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock.
