Gateway is a neighbourhood within Mississauga, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Gateway is quite transit friendly. There are about 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. In contrast, Gateway is not very conducive to cycling because cyclists encounter a significant amount of hills, and the bicycling network is not very extensive. Walking is not very feasible for residents in this neighbourhood because running daily errands is occasionally difficult on foot. However, the car is usually the best way to get around in this part of the city. It is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 401, from any location in Gateway, and accessing a place to park is easy.

Services

A fraction of home buyers in Gateway may be able to reach one of around 10 grocery stores on foot, while others will have to turn to another means of transportation. That being said, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and property owners benefit from about 10 cafes as well. With regards to education, there are only a limited number of high schools and primary schools in Gateway and consequently they can be an extended walk away. Likewise, families may consider it challenging for their children to reach daycares as a pedestrian.

Lastly, it remains relatively serene in this area, as there are very few pedestrians.

The housing stock of Gateway is composed predominantly of single detached homes and townhouses. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this area.
