Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Old Milton is a neighbourhood within Milton, Ontario.

Transportation

It is convenient for pedestrians to navigate this neighbourhood; many common errands can be run without a car, and plenty of businesses are fairly close by. Cycling is also easy in Old Milton. Driving is often the preferred transportation option in this part of the town. Nearby highways are moderately easy to access from anywhere in this area, and it is convenient to park. On the other hand, getting around by public transit is challenging in Old Milton. Nonetheless, there is the Milton on the Milton. There are approximately 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties.

Services

A supermarket is generally reachable within a very short distance from most properties for sale in Old Milton. Likewise, there is often a restaurant or cafe just around the corner, for instance along Main Street. When it comes to education, daycares and schools are very easy to reach by foot from any location in Old Milton. Families are served by public and private primary schools.

Character

Old Milton offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This part of the town is reasonably quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case close to the railway line. Lastly, it is easy to get to green spaces from numerous locations within the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in.

Roughly one third of properties in this part of the town were built between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1990s.
