Transportation

The favoured method to get around in Old Victoria is very often driving. It is very convenient to come across a parking spot, and nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are easy to drive to from any location in this part of London. On the other hand, commuting by public transit is difficult in this area. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most residences. This area is not especially suited for bicycling since there are a fair number of hills, and Old Victoria is home to a quite bad cycling infrastructure. It is also very difficult for people walking to navigate this neighbourhood as almost no common errands can be run on foot.

Old Victoria does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Regarding food, doing one's groceries usually necessitates the use of a car in this area.

Character

The character of Old Victoria is exemplified by its calm environment. Green spaces are easy to access and there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit. Most areas in this part of London are quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several noisier sections, especially near Highway 401.

Housing

Nearly 185% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing the overwhelming majority of dwellings in this part of London. Most housing in this area was built after the year 2000, during its most significant building boom. This neighbourhood offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
