Victoria North is a neighbourhood within Kitchener, Ontario, which is located in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the preferred way to get around in Victoria North. It is very easy to park, and most properties for sale are a very short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 85 Collector. In contrast, the public transit network in Victoria North is fairly poor. Thankfully, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually nearby. Walking is not very popular in Victoria North, despite the fact that meeting day-to-day needs is convenient on foot. This part of Kitchener is also not very bike-friendly because the bicycling infrastructure is somewhat poor. Thankfully, it is a flat ride to most destinations, and a few bicycling-friendly pockets can be found.

Services

Home buyers in this neighbourhood almost always have to use a vehicle to access the closest grocery store. Nonetheless, pharmacies are generally convenient to get to on foot and provide some staple foods. There are also approximately 10 restaurants and coffee shops in Victoria North. Public green spaces, such as Stanley Park Optimist Natural Area, are very well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in, which makes it easy to get to them. Noise can sometimes be an issue in this neighbourhood, as traffic can occasionally be loud during rush hour.

This neighbourhood has a good variety of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest construction boom pre-1960, so most of the available housing stock is from this era.
