Northland

The neighbourhood of Northland is part of the city of Waterloo, Ontario, which is located in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is very often the preferred method to get around in Northland. It is especially convenient to park, and nearby highways are quite easy to drive to from any location in this area. In contrast, the public transit system in Northland is not very convenient. Nonetheless, house owners have access to a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. The bike is a somewhat poor mode of transportation in Northland because there are a fair number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive. This part of Waterloo is also not very well-suited for those who travel by foot as running common errands is sometimes difficult by walking.

Services

Shopping for one's groceries typically requires the use of a car in Northland. Nonetheless, reaching the closest pharmacy and therefore some basic food items is usually easy.
