Part of the Greater Windsor metropolitan area, Ojibway is a neighbourhood within Windsor, Ontario.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in Ojibway. The majority of houses for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and accessing a place to park is generally easy. On the other hand, public transit users may find limited options in this area by reason of the infrequent service. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most residences. This part of Windsor is not very suitable for those who prefer to get around as pedestrians because few common errands can be run without a vehicle. In contrast, Ojibway is reasonably bike-friendly.

Services

Parents and their children will appreciate that wherever their house is located in Ojibway, primary schools are close by. In contrast, this neighbourhood does not contain any high schools. When it comes to food, it is very rarely possible for house buyers in Ojibway to do their groceries as pedestrians. There are a few choices for those who appreciate close by restaurants.

Character

Ojibway is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed environment. This area is quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case closer to the railway line. Finally, green spaces, such as Ojibway Parkway Trail and Black Oak Heritage, are very well-spread out and there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to explore, which makes them easy to reach from numerous locations within the neighbourhood.

Housing

About 40% of dwellings are single detached homes, making it easy to find detached homes in Ojibway, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of one bedroom and two bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 55% of the properties in Ojibway whereas the rest are rented. Roughly one third of properties in this neighbourhood were built following the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
