More specifically, rapid transit stations, including Bayview Station, Bessarion Station and Leslie Station with access to the Sheppard Line, are not very far away from most houses in the neighbourhood. There are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is typically very close. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are also suitable for those who travel by foot; many day-to-day errands can be run on foot, and numerous businesses are nearby. This area is not especially amenable to cycling as the bicycling network is not particularly comprehensive, and cyclists encounter a significant amount of elevation changes.

This area is quiet overall, as the streets are generally peaceful - although there are still several noisier sections, especially close to Highway 401 or the railway line. Lastly, the greenery in this part of the city is reasonably prominent as the tree canopy coverage for numerous streets is fairly good. There are about 20 parks close by for residents to unwind in, such as Newtonbrook Park and Bayview Village Park, making them very easy to get to.

In Bayview Village, many dwellings are large apartment buildings, while single detached homes and townhouses make up most of the remaining housing stock. This neighbourhood experienced its most significant construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this time period. This area offers mainly two bedroom and one bedroom homes. Around 60% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 40% are renters.
