The neighbourhood of Sixteen Hollow is part of the town of Oakville, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Sixteen Hollow is an extremely convenient part of Oakville for getting around by car. Most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 407, and finding a parking spot is generally easy. However, this area is not an especially convenient part of Oakville for moving around by public transit. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is typically just around the corner. There aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of Sixteen Hollow, despite the fact that most daily needs are easy to carry out without the use of a vehicle. However, this neighbourhood is reasonably conducive to cycling since the bicycling infrastructure is reasonably extensive.

Services

Getting to the nearest supermarket on foot is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in this part of the town. A limited number of restaurants and cafes can be found as well. In terms of education, it is a reasonably short walk to get to primary schools and daycares from most houses for sale in Sixteen Hollow. In contrast, parents may consider it challenging for their children to reach high schools as a pedestrian.

Character

People who prefer a slower-paced environment will enjoy Sixteen Hollow. This part of the town is reasonably quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - however noise can be an issue close to Highway 407. Lastly, there are a few parks nearby for residents to explore, such as Sixteen Mile Sports Complex and Lion's Valley Park, making them very easy to get to.

Housing

In Sixteen Hollow, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, while townhouses make up most of the remaining housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this part of the town has taken place after the year 2000. There is a higher proportion of three bedroom homes in this neighbourhood.
