Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Rosedale is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

Regardless of the mode of transportation, it is very easy to travel in Rosedale. With various nearby rapid transit stations on the Yonge - University Line and Bloor - Danforth Line, and a few nearby bus lines, commuting by public transit is very easy in this part of the city. Walking is also very convenient for property owners in Rosedale; most day-to-day needs are especially convenient to carry out without having to use a vehicle, and many businesses are close by. Rosedale is a fairly convenient part of Toronto for bike riders. More specifically, Rosedale has a good bicycling infrastructure, and bike-share stations are rarely more than a short walk away.

Services

Families will welcome the proximity to schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from most, if not all, homes for sale in Rosedale. It is very easy to access parks in the neighbourhood since there are around 30 of them nearby for residents to discover. Finally, finding things to do in this area is easy. There are very often many people around, there are numerous nearby entertainment venues, and with the nightlife venues in nearby neighbourhoods, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located a short walk away.

Housing

Large apartment buildings are the predominant housing type, representing around 45% of buildings in Rosedale, and the rest of the houses are mainly small apartment buildings and single detached homes. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood took place prior to the 1960s. This area has a good choice of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder.
