Situated within the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Mineola is a neighbourhood in Mississauga, Ontario.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is particularly car friendly. Many properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, and it is very convenient to find a parking spot. In contrast, the transit in this part of Mississauga is not very practical. Thankfully, there is the Port Credit with access to the Lakeshore West. There are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. Mineola is fairly bicycling-friendly. In contrast, traveling on foot is not very popular in Mineola, although many daily errands can be run without the need to get in a vehicle.

Services

A supermarket is typically reachable within a rather short trip from any home in Mineola. Residents are served by a few restaurants and coffee shops as well. When it comes to education, parents and their kids will welcome the proximity to schools and daycares, which are within a short distance from most homes for sale in this part of the city. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools.

Character

Mineola is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm ambience. There are approximately 20 public green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in, including Not to Be Named (P-234) * (Between Knareswood Dr and Pine Tree Cres) and Dellwood Park, and they are very well-distributed, which makes it easy to access them. This part of Mississauga is also very good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic around Queen Elizabeth Way or the railway line.
