Located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Maple is a neighbourhood within Vaughan, Ontario.

Transportation

Driving is very often the preferred way to move around in Maple. It is a rather short drive to the nearest highway, such as Highway 400, from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and finding a place to park is generally easy. In contrast, this part of Vaughan is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there is the Maple and Rutherford on the Barrie. There are about 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. Walking is not very popular in this part of the city, despite the fact that many daily needs are easy to carry out without a car. However, Maple is moderately bike-friendly.

Services

Accessing the nearest grocery store by foot is possible for some, but not all, house buyers in Maple. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who care about restaurants and cafes within a short distance. Concerning education, daycares and schools are convenient to get to on foot from anywhere in Maple. Along with public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools.

Character

Maple is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. Most areas in this part of Vaughan are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, it is easy to get to parks in the neighbourhood since there are approximately 30 of them close by for residents to explore.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the majority of buildings in Maple, and the rest are mainly large apartment buildings. This part of Vaughan offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 85% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while renters occupy the remainder. The homes in this neighbourhood are very new, since around 40% of its dwellings were constructed between 1990 and 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 2000s.
