Maple is a neighbourhood within Vaughan, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Maple is a very convenient part of Vaughan for getting around by car. Most houses for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 400, and it is easy to come across a parking spot. However, the transit network in Maple is rather limited. Thankfully, there is the Rutherford and Maple on the Barrie. The neighbourhood is linked by about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are typically very close by. The bike is a reasonably good means of transportation in this part of Vaughan. However, getting around on foot in Maple is not very popular, although meeting daily needs is convenient without a car.

Services

Accessing the nearest supermarket by walking is an option for some, but not all, property owners in this part of Vaughan. Residents benefit from about 40 restaurants and cafes as well. With regards to education, schools and daycares are convenient to get to without a vehicle from most properties for sale in this part of Vaughan. In addition to public schools, there are private primary and high schools.

Character

The character of Maple is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. There are approximately 30 public green spaces nearby for residents to check out, such as MacKenzie Glen District Park and Vaughan Sports Village, and they are very well-distributed, resulting in them being easy to get to from a large number of locations in the neighbourhood. This area is also very quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing roughly 60% of buildings in Maple, but large apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This part of Vaughan is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 85% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 15% are renters. Around 40% of properties in this part of the city were built in the 1990s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 2000s.
