Gateway

Situated within the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Gateway is a neighbourhood in Mississauga, Ontario.

Transportation

With approximately 10 nearby bus lines, Gateway is quite transit friendly. Although some enjoyable sectors for cycling exist, this part of the city is not very suited for cycling because the bicycling network is not very comprehensive, and the topography is not especially flat. Travelling on foot is not very feasible for property owners in Gateway since most daily needs are occasionally difficult to carry out by walking. However, the car is usually the preferred approach to get around in Gateway. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 403.

Services

High schools and primary schools are not very abundant in Gateway, and therefore tend to be an extended walk away. Moreover, families may find it difficult to reach daycares on foot. Regarding eating, some, but not all, property owners in Gateway will reside within walking distance of one of about 10 supermarkets. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who appreciate restaurants and cafes in close proximity.

Character

There is a good selection of green spaces in Gateway. Parks, like Derry West Greenbelt and Dunton Athletic Fields, are very well-situated and there are approximately 20 of them nearby for residents to relax in, which makes them easy to get to. This neighbourhood remains relatively calm, due to the presence of very few people out and about on the streets.
