Corktown is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the city will appeal to house buyers that use various modes of transportation. The public transit service in Corktown is excellent. More specifically, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally just around the corner. Corktown is also an extraordinarily pleasant part of Toronto for pedestrians; all daily errands can be run on foot, and a variety of businesses are reasonably nearby. Riding a bicycle is very popular in this neighbourhood since bike-share stations are never more than a few blocks away, Corktown boasts a fairly good bicycling infrastructure, and the topography is reasonably flat.

Moreover, those who like to dine out won't have to go far in this neighbourhood, where a few restaurants and a few cafes can be found, for instance along Queen Street. Corktown has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. There are numerous things to do in this area for those looking for a dynamic vibe. Many entertainment venues can be found nearby, the streets are almost always busy with people, and with the bars in nearby neighbourhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located around the corner. Most areas in Corktown are quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. There is not that much greenery in this part of the city; to be more specific, residents will find that most streets have below average tree coverage. Nonetheless, there are a few parks close by for residents to check out, which makes it very easy to get to them from many locations within this area.

Housing
