Commerce Valley

The neighbourhood of Commerce Valley can be found in the city of Markham, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Regardless of the medium of transportation, it is reasonably convenient to get around in Commerce Valley. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are suitable for pedestrians; many daily needs are easy to meet without the use of a car, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Commerce Valley is also appropriate for biking because the bicycling infrastructure is moderately extensive. The public transit infrastructure in Commerce Valley is good owing to plenty of nearby rapid transit stations on the Viva Purple, and about 10 nearby bus lines. Commuting by car is also especially convenient in this area. It is a short drive to the closest highway, such as Highway 404, from any location in this neighbourhood, and it is very easy to park.

Services

In Commerce Valley, parents and their schoolchildren will generally be able to access daycares and schools as pedestrians. Concerning eating, in the majority of cases, a car is needed in this part of Markham to access the nearest supermarket. Nonetheless, pharmacies are typically very easy to get to as a pedestrian and supply some staple foods. A restaurant is often just around the corner, and residents benefit from a few cafes as well.

Character

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Commerce Valley. Parks are especially well-located and there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in, making it easy to access them. Most homes in this neighbourhood were constructed after the year 2000, during its main building boom.
