Brookside

The neighbourhood of Brookside is part of the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured method to move around in Brookside is often a car. It is convenient to find a place to park. Brookside is also a fairly pleasant part of Toronto for travelling by public transit owing to a few nearby bus lines. Brookside is not especially appropriate for biking because the terrain is not particularly flat, and the bicycling infrastructure is rather poor. It is also impractical for pedestrians to navigate this part of Toronto as very few daily errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

Families will appreciate that no matter where their property is located in Brookside, primary schools are nearby. On the other hand, there are only a limited number of high schools and accordingly they can be an extended stroll away. With respect to food, in the majority of cases, a car is required to do groceries.

Character

Brookside is a wonderful neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm ambience. There is a very small amount of greenery in this part of the city; however, parks, including Cedarbrae Golf and Country Club and Trca Lands ( 20), are very well-situated and there are around 20 of them close by for residents to unwind in, which results in them being very easy to access from the majority of locations in this area. This area is especially quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very peaceful.

About 90% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the rest are rented. The housing stock of this area is composed primarily of single detached homes and row houses. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood has occurred after the year 2000. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this area.
