Bowmanville is a very good part of Clarington for getting around by car. Parking is generally easy, and most real estate listings are a rather short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 401. However, getting around by transit can be challenging in this area as a result of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, residents have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. This neighbourhood is not especially cycling-friendly because there are a fair number of slopes, and Bowmanville is home to a rather poor bicycling infrastructure. It is also occasionally difficult for pedestrians to move around in Bowmanville because few daily needs can be met without the use of a car.

In terms of food, a fraction of house buyers in Bowmanville may have the option to buy groceries by walking, while others will have to rely on a vehicle. Residents of this neighbourhood are served by over 50 restaurants as well.

Bowmanville is a great neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. Bowmanville is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be especially peaceful.
