Argyle

Located in the Greater London metropolitan area, Argyle is a neighbourhood within London, Ontario.

Transportation

Argyle is car friendly. Coming across a place to park is easy. However, Argyle is not an especially pleasant part of London for travelling by public transit. Thankfully, there are about 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Argyle is suited for biking because the bicycling infrastructure is good, and there are a limited number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are not particularly convenient for pedestrians since carrying out day-to-day needs is occasionally challenging without a car.

Services

Reaching the closest supermarket as pedestrians is possible for some, but not all, property owners in Argyle. Residents are served by about 50 restaurants and coffee shops as well. In terms of education, it is a reasonably short distance to reach daycares and primary schools from most homes for sale in this area. On the other hand, there are only a few high schools and accordingly they can be a long trip away. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools.

Character

Argyle offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This part of the city is very quiet overall, as the streets are very peaceful. Finally, the majority of locations within the neighbourhood have fairly good access to green spaces, such as Kiwanis Park - Central South and Forest View Park, since there are approximately 20 of them nearby for residents to visit.

Housing

Roughly two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. In this part of London, about 55% of buildings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Roughly one third of properties in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
