Hamilton Beach

The neighbourhood of Hamilton Beach is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent medium of transportation in Hamilton Beach. It is very easy to park, and the majority of houses for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way. On the other hand, the public transit system in Hamilton Beach is fairly poor. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally very close. Bicycling is easy in this area because there are a limited number of slopes for cyclists to brave. Hamilton Beach is not very conducive to walking because carrying out daily needs is difficult on foot.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of Hamilton. In terms of food, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to buy groceries.

Character

One of the highlights of Hamilton Beach is its extensive selection of green spaces. Most locations in the neighbourhood have fairly good access to parks, such as Beach Strip Open Space, since there are a few of them close by for residents to discover. Finally, as there are very few pedestrians, this part of the city is relatively serene.

Housing

In Hamilton Beach, many dwellings are single detached homes, while duplexes make up most of the remaining housing stock. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 80% of the units in the neighbourhood while the remainder are rented. Most homes in this area were constructed pre-1960, during its biggest building boom.
