The former municipality of Ancaster is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Travelling by car is very convenient in Ancaster. Nearby highways, such as Highway 403, are reasonably easy to access from any home in this part of the city, and it is straightforward to park. On the other hand, the public transit service in Ancaster is not very frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the former municipality, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. Ancaster is reasonably bicycling-friendly. Travelling on foot is not very practical for house buyers in Ancaster because few daily errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle.
