Transportation

Centretown is moderately suited for biking because it is a flat ride to most destinations. Centretown is also a fairly pleasant part of Cornwall for pedestrians; many common errands can be run without the need to get in a vehicle. Public transit users may find limited choices in this neighbourhood as a result of the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. However, Centretown is very car friendly. Parking is generally easy, and the majority of homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway.

Services

It is usually practical for house buyers in Centretown to purchase groceries by walking. Moreover, a cafe is on average a rather short stroll away, and there are also a limited number of options for those who value restaurants in close proximity. Regarding education, in Centretown, parents and their kids will generally be able to access both primary and secondary schools by foot. Residents benefit from public and private high schools. In contrast, there are only a few daycares and thus they can be a long distance away.

Character

The character of Centretown is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. This area is reasonably quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Finally, green spaces, including Optimist, are very well-situated and there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to relax in, which makes them easy to access.

Housing

In Centretown, about 55% of buildings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This part of Cornwall is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 60% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood and the rest are rented. About 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
