Situated within the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area, Brant Hills is a neighbourhood in Burlington, Ontario.

Transportation

Brant Hills is very car friendly. It is very convenient to come across a parking spot, and it is a rather short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Highway 407, from any location in this neighbourhood. However, the public transit service in Brant Hills is not very frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close. This part of the city is not especially conducive to walking as meeting daily needs is sometimes challenging on foot. This neighbourhood is also not especially suited for cycling as the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and there are a fair number of slopes for cyclists to brave.

Services

Parents and their children will find that no matter where their property is located in this part of Burlington, primary schools and daycares are nearby. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Brant Hills. In terms of eating, property owners in this part of the city will be pleased to learn that a grocery store is always only a reasonably short walk away. A limited number of restaurants and coffee shops are available as well.

Character

The character of Brant Hills is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. Parks are easy to access since there are approximately 10 of them nearby for residents to visit. This part of the city is also reasonably good for those who prefer quiet surroundings, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder sections, especially closer to Highway 407.

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing about 40% of dwellings in Brant Hills, and the rest of the dwellings are mainly large apartment buildings and townhouses. This part of the city experienced its biggest construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available housing is from this era. This neighbourhood offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 90% of the units in Brant Hills while the remainder are rented.
