The neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant can be found in the city of Brampton, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area is very car friendly. It is very convenient to come across a place to park. However, Mount Pleasant is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, house owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. It is difficult for pedestrians to navigate this area as very few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. However, this neighbourhood is quite bike-friendly as Mount Pleasant features a reasonably good cycling infrastructure.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to reach primary schools and daycares from most houses for sale in this part of the city. However, there are no high schools in Mount Pleasant. When it comes to eating, some, but not all, property owners in this part of Brampton will live within walking distance of the closest supermarket. Residents can enjoy a few restaurants and cafes as well.

Character

The character of Mount Pleasant is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. This part of the city is quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, numerous locations in the neighbourhood have fairly good access to parks, including Eccles Valley and Kw Mullings Channel, since there are around 10 of them close by for residents to relax in and getting to a park is easy from most properties.

Housing

Homeowners occupy about 85% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood and 15% are rented. The housing stock of this area is composed predominantly of single detached homes and townhouses. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood has happened following the year 2000. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
