Located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Mount Pleasant is a neighbourhood within Brampton, Ontario.

Transportation

Mount Pleasant offers house buyers several alternative means of transportation. Driving is a good transportation option in Mount Pleasant. Parking is quite easy. Owing to approximately 10 nearby bus lines, the public transit network in this part of the city is also good. Commuting by bicycle is convenient in Mount Pleasant since there are a fair number of bike lanes, and there are not many elevation changes to challenge cyclists. Travelling on foot is not especially practical for property owners in this part of Brampton because few common errands can be run without having to use a vehicle.

Services

Reaching the closest supermarket on foot is an option for some, but not all, property owners in this area. Residents can enjoy a few restaurants and coffee shops as well. In terms of education, primary schools and daycares are easy to reach on foot from most properties for sale in Mount Pleasant. However, high schools are not very abundant and thus not always within walking distance. At the primary level, there are both public and private schools.

Character

The character of Mount Pleasant is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. This area is especially quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, there are around 20 parks close by for residents to visit, including Eccles Valley and Creditview Sandalwood Park, making it very easy to reach them.

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about two thirds of buildings in Mount Pleasant, and the rest of the properties are mainly townhouses. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 80% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the rest are rented. Most housing in this neighbourhood was built after the year 2000, during its largest construction boom.
