Bram West

Bram West is a neighbourhood within Brampton, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in this area. It is very convenient to park, and it is a rather short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 407, from any location in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, travelling by transit can be challenging in this area as a result of the low service level. Thankfully, homeowners are served by about 10 bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. This neighbourhood is not very well-suited for walking since very few day-to-day needs can be met without having to use a vehicle. Even though biking is more feasible in some areas than others, Bram West is also not especially appropriate for bicycling as there are quite a few hills, and the cycling network is sometimes poor.

Services

Families will appreciate that wherever their house is located in Bram West, primary schools are nearby. However, high schools are not very plentiful and consequently tend to require an extended walk to get to. As far as food is concerned, a fraction of residents in this area may be able to buy groceries by walking, while others will have to use another means of transportation. There are also around 20 restaurants and cafes in Bram West.

Character

Bram West is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm environment. Green spaces, such as Kee Valley and Eldorado Park, are very well-distributed and there are around 30 of them nearby for residents to visit, which makes it easy to get to them. The noise levels in this area are also reasonably low, as the streets are quite tranquil - although that is not the case closer to the railway line, Highway 407 or Highway 401.

Housing

Single detached homes and townhouses are the main housing type in Bram West. Most housing in this neighbourhood was built after the year 2000, during its biggest construction boom. This area offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 85% of the properties in Bram West and the rest are rented.
