The community of South Section is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

This community is especially car friendly. It is very convenient to park. South Section is not very bike-friendly because the terrain is not particularly flat, and the bicycling network is not very extensive. Many of the houses for sale in this community are located in places that are also not very conducive to pedestrians since almost no day-to-day errands can be run without a car.

Services

South Section does not contain any high schools or primary schools. With respect to food, it is very rarely possible for property owners in this part of Halifax to access the closest supermarket as pedestrians.

Character

South Section is a wonderful community to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. South Section is very quiet, as the streets are usually very tranquil. Green spaces aren't well-spread out, which makes them very difficult to get to from the majority of locations in this area.

Housing

The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of South Section is an important part of its character. This community offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
