Character

The character of Portuguese Cove is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. Portuguese Cove is very quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Many locations within the community have fairly good access to public green spaces, like Unnamed Park, since they aren't well-distributed. Despite that, there are a few parks close by for residents to unwind in.

Housing

The homes in this community are relatively new, because around 30% of its dwellings were built after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s. In this part of the municipality, the overwhelming majority of dwellings are single detached homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 95% of the units in the community while renters occupy the remainder. This area is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
