Transportation

This area is an extremely convenient part of Halifax for moving around by car. Parking is easy. This area is not very suitable for pedestrians because almost no common errands can be run without a car. Glenmore is also not very bike-friendly as the topography is not particularly flat, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Glenmore. When it comes to eating, it is very rarely feasible for house buyers in this part of the municipality to do grocery shopping as pedestrians.

Character

People who prefer a calm environment will enjoy Glenmore. Glenmore is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Green spaces are distributed sporadically, making it very hard to reach them.

Housing

Roughly 80% of the population of this community own their home and renters make up the remainder. The large percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of this community is an important part of its character. Around half of properties in this community were constructed prior to the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s. This area has a good choice of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
