The neighbourhood of Central Bedford is situated within the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

This part of the municipality is very car friendly. Many properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway, and it is very convenient to find a place to park. In contrast, the public transit service in Central Bedford is not very frequent. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Central Bedford is not especially suited for cycling because there are few bike lanes, and riding is rendered difficult by the typically sloping topography. It is also occasionally challenging for pedestrians to move around in Central Bedford since few common errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

It is very convenient to get to the nearest grocery store on foot from anywhere in Central Bedford. Likewise, a coffee shop is commonly just around the corner, and residents of this area can enjoy a few restaurants as well. Concerning education, parents and their kids will welcome that no matter where their house is located in Central Bedford, daycares and primary schools are nearby. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Central Bedford.

Character

People who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere will enjoy Central Bedford. There are a few green spaces close by for residents to unwind in and they are especially well-spread out, which makes them easy to access. Most areas in this part of the municipality are reasonably quiet, as the streets are quite calm.
