The community of Otter Lake is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The best mode of transportation in Otter Lake is usually a car. It is a very short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in Otter Lake, and it is especially convenient to park. Travelling by bicycle is challenging in this area as the topography is not particularly flat, and the cycling network is not very extensive. It is also very inconvenient for pedestrians to get around in Otter Lake as most day-to-day needs are impractical to meet without having to use a car.

Services

Otter Lake does not have any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, families may consider it very hard to reach daycares as a pedestrian. With respect to eating, buying one's groceries usually requires the use of a vehicle in this area.

Character

There is an extensive selection of green spaces in Otter Lake.
