The neighbourhood of North Street can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

North Street is particularly car friendly. Many real estate listings are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and it is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. In contrast, the public transit service in North Street is not very frequent. Nevertheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. It is sometimes challenging for pedestrians to get around in North Street since few daily errands can be run without a vehicle. North Street is also not particularly cycling-friendly because cyclists are faced with a significant amount of slopes, and there are few bike lanes.
