Transportation

Basinview is especially car friendly. It is very easy to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a rather short drive from the nearest highway. However, Basinview is not an especially convenient part of Halifax for travelling by public transit. Nevertheless, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually nearby. It is inconvenient for pedestrians to move around in Basinview since very few daily needs can be met without the use of a car. Travelling by bicycle is also difficult in Basinview because bike riders are faced with a considerable amount of slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is fairly poor.

Services

Primary schools and daycares are easy to reach on foot from any location in Basinview. In contrast, there are no high schools in this part of the municipality.
