The neighbourhood of Southend is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Travelling by car is easy in Southend. It is easy to park, and most real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway. Walking in Southend is not very common, even though many daily needs can be met without a car. This neighbourhood is also not particularly amenable to cycling because the bicycling network is not very extensive, and riding a bicycle is rendered strenuous by the often sloping topography.
