Part of the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Howie Centre is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The best way to get around in Howie Centre is usually driving. It is very easy to come across a place to park. Howie Centre is not very convenient for walking because almost no daily errands can be run on foot. The bicycle is a rather poor method of transportation in this community as there are very few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of slopes.

Services

There are only a few primary schools in this area and consequently they can be a long walk away. In addition, this part of Cape Breton Municipality does not contain any high schools. Moreover, it can be very difficult to get to daycares as a pedestrian. In terms of eating, house buyers in Howie Centre almost always have to turn to a car to reach the closest supermarket. A limited selection of coffee shops is available.

Character

Howie Centre is an excellent community to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. There are around 10 parks nearby for residents to unwind in, making it easy to reach them. This part of Cape Breton Municipality is also especially quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
