Transportation

The best way to get around in Howie Centre is usually driving. It is very easy to come across a place to park. Howie Centre is not very convenient for walking because almost no daily errands can be run on foot. The bicycle is a rather poor method of transportation in this community as there are very few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of slopes.

Services

There are only a few primary schools in this area and consequently they can be a long walk away. In addition, this part of Cape Breton Municipality does not contain any high schools. Moreover, it can be very difficult to get to daycares as a pedestrian. In terms of eating, house buyers in Howie Centre almost always have to turn to a car to reach the closest supermarket. A limited selection of coffee shops is available.

Character

Howie Centre is an excellent community to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. There are around 10 parks nearby for residents to unwind in, making it easy to reach them.
