Many homes for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans Canada Highway, and parking is generally easy. However, East Meadows is not very transit friendly. Services

There are also a few opportunities for those who appreciate restaurants and cafes in close proximity. With regards to education, schools and daycares are convenient to get to on foot from any location in East Meadows.

Character

East Meadows is reasonably quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case close to Trans Canada Highway.

Most of the housing growth in this part of St. John's took place between 1960 and 1980. This area offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
