Part of the Greater Saint John metropolitan area, Sand Cove is a neighbourhood within Saint John, New Brunswick.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is especially car friendly. It is straightforward to find a place to park, and it is a very short drive to the closest highway from any location in this area. However, the public transit infrastructure in this part of the city is not very practical. Thankfully, house owners have access to a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most homes. This area is not especially convenient for pedestrians because few daily needs can be met without a vehicle. Sand Cove is also not very suited for biking as the bicycling network is not especially extensive, and there is a significant amount of slopes.

Services

It is often possible for property owners in this part of Saint John to buy their groceries as pedestrians. With respect to education, parents and their children will appreciate that wherever their property is located in Sand Cove, schools and daycares are close by.

Character

The character of Sand Cove is exemplified by its calm environment. Green spaces, such as Parc Nature Irving Nature Park and Parc Seaside Park, are very well-situated and there are a few of them close by for residents to visit, making it easy to reach them. This part of the city is also very quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.
