Panorama Village

Panorama Village is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is usually the preferred way to get around in this area. It is a very short drive to the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any location in Panorama Village, and parking is generally easy. On the other hand, public transit users may find few options in this area as a result of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. It is difficult to move around by bike in Panorama Village because the bicycling network is not very extensive, and there are quite a few slopes. Panorama Village is also not very suitable for those who travel by foot because few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to purchase groceries. There are a few choices for those who care about nearby restaurants. With regards to education, Panorama Village does not have any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, there are only a very small number of daycares and accordingly they can be a very long walk away.

Character

A highlight of Panorama Village is its very good selection of green spaces. Parks are very easy to access since there are a few of them close by for residents to check out. Finally, since there are very few people out and about on the streets, this part of West Vancouver is relatively serene.

Housing

The homes in this area are relatively new, because about one third of its dwellings were constructed following the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. In this part of the municipality, around 40% of dwellings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. About 80% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. This part of the municipality has a good choice of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
