Chelsea Park is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The best approach to move around in this area is usually driving. It is very convenient to park, and nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to access from any location in Chelsea Park. In contrast, the transit access in Chelsea Park is not very practical. This part of West Vancouver is not very conducive to pedestrians as meeting daily needs is inconvenient without a vehicle. This neighbourhood is also not very bike-friendly as riding is made strenuous by the typically steep terrain, and Chelsea Park has rather poor cycling infrastructure.

Services

Families may consider it very hard to access high schools and primary schools as pedestrians. Likewise, there are only a very small number of daycares and accordingly they can be a very long distance away. With respect to food, it is very rarely possible for property owners in Chelsea Park to do their groceries without a vehicle.

Character

The character of Chelsea Park is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. Public green spaces are easy to reach since there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit. Most areas in this neighbourhood are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially around Trans-Canada Highway.

Housing

About one third of homes in Chelsea Park were built after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing around 45% of dwellings in this neighbourhood, while the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. There are equal parts owners and renters living in this area. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of one bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
