The neighbourhood of Chinatown is part of the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Chinatown is an excellent part of Vancouver for eco-friendly transportation options. With 2 rapid transit stations (Main Street-Science World Station @ Platform 2 and Main Street-Science World Station @ Platform 1) on the Expo Line, and around 20 nearby bus lines, the transit system in Chinatown is great. Most houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are also especially convenient for those who get around as pedestrians; most common errands can be run without a car, and there are also innumerable businesses nearby. Chinatown is an extremely pleasant part of Vancouver for bike riders. In particular, the bicycling infrastructure is very comprehensive, and bike-share stations are never more than a few blocks away.

Services

In Chinatown, families will generally be able to access both primary and secondary schools by walking. On the other hand, there are only a limited number of daycares and consequently they can be a long stroll away.
