Transportation

Uptown provides home buyers with the choice between a variety of methods of transportation. The public transit system in Uptown is fairly good as a consequence of a few nearby bus lines. Many of the houses for sale in this part of New Westminster are located in places that are also especially suitable for walking; running day-to-day errands is easy, and plenty of businesses are quite nearby. Uptown is reasonably amenable to biking since this neighbourhood has a fairly good cycling infrastructure.

The closest supermarket in Uptown is typically only a very short walk away. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who appreciate close by restaurants and cafes. When it comes to education, it is a short walk to get to daycares and schools from anywhere in Uptown.

Character

Uptown is a good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm ambience. There are a few parks nearby for residents to visit and they are especially well-distributed, which makes it very easy to get to them. Most areas in this part of New Westminster are reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
