The neighbourhood of Whytecliff is part of the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Whytecliff is an extraordinarily good part of West Vancouver for travelling by car. The majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, and it is especially convenient to park. However, the public transit network in Whytecliff is not very practical. This part of the municipality is not particularly conducive to cycling because there are quite a few slopes, and there are very few bike lanes. Whytecliff is also not very suitable for those who travel by foot since carrying out day-to-day needs is very inconvenient.

Services

The nearest supermarket in Whytecliff is typically only a long walk away. Furthermore, residents won't have to look far to take advantage of the closest coffee shop. With regards to education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in Whytecliff. Likewise, it can be very hard to get to daycares on foot.

Character

Whytecliff offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This area is very quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, green spaces are very well-located and there are a few of them nearby for residents to discover, making it very easy to get to them.

Nearly 95% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the remainder are rented. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this part of the municipality. Around one third of properties in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
